Datavail Expands North American Presence and Appoints West Coast Regional Director
Broomfield, Colo. — Oct. 29, 2013 — Datavail, the largest pure-play provider of remote database administration (DBA) services in North America, today announced it has opened a new office in Los Angeles. This marks Datavail’s fourth office in North America. Also announced today, Datavail hired Kern Wasan as its West Coast regional director, based in the LA office. Wasan has 12 years of experience spanning data networking and data center infrastructure.
“We listened to our customers and spoke with a number of the Fortune 1000 companies in the area, and determined we could better serve our existing customers as well as address a market need by establishing a more permanent presence in LA,” said David Boyle, senior vice president of sales, Datavail.
Recruited to lead the Los Angeles office, Wasan joined Datavail from Internap Network Services, a leading data center and cloud infrastructure provider, where he was the director of national accounts for the Southwest market. Additionally, Wasan has experience working in the media and entertainment sector for clients such as Sony Pictures, Fox Entertainment, William Morris Endeavor and DirecTv. He is a 2014 MBA candidate at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
