Using DevOps for an Oracle Data Warehouse

devops_warehouse_pres

Data Warehousing and many areas of analytics and performance management within the Oracle stack can take advantage of source control management, continuous integration, and DevOps processes. Though these historical database object artifact silos often find some means for cooperative development, migration, and release cycles, they do not necessarily meet standards proven and approved for standardized software development life cycles or agile deployments.

Your Data Warehouse lifecycle management may not follow best practices or even align with the corporate standard for application development elsewhere within the organization. This session takes into account Data Warehousing design, development, and lifecycle management and provides a beginner’s introduction on how and where source control, continuous integration, and DevOps, can be used in an organization to better organize and develop within an Oracle Data Warehouse paradigm.
