Chuck: I think one of the things that’s unique about Datavail’s culture is we work onshore, offshore. Our teams are seamless. We work together. I have a counterpart onshore, and a counterpart offshore. When I’m sleeping, he’s working. When I’m working, he’s sleeping.
Peter: I think I’ve been working with my TFE DBA, Bobbin, for about two years now and it’s awesome. He’s out front. He’s catching things early in the morning. He’s out from of them. When I have activity, he’s working on them at 3:00 in the morning customer time, so we’re doing things off hours. I don’t have to get up in the middle of the morning to get things done. The one thing with the DBA team, nobody wants you to work on their systems during the day. It’s a great relief and it’s a great partnership.
Megan: We have a fantastic offshore team that covers us during the night and during the day if we’re overwhelmed or we need extra help. I have a tier three counterpart in India and our shifts overlap so we can coordinate and brainstorm together but it also extends our day. He can start several hours before I wake up and deal with problems and I can take it for the rest of the day.
Sen: My TFE DBA is my counterpart in India. We work close hand in hand to provide services for our customers. Our tier two database team, they work 24/7 and 365 days a year. They provide most of the customer support for regular activities. Me and my tier three counterpart, we do a lot of planning, organization and infrastructure building. We plan the projects, execute them. Together, we form a chain of DBAs who knows the customer very well, who are available 24/7 to meet any of the customer’s needs.
