InnoTech OKC 2022 – Going Beyond “Lift and Shift” - Getting the Most Out of the Cloud
Cloud is at an inflection point today, with 75% of enterprises now in the cloud in some form, whether they’re rehosting, replatforming, or rearchitecting their systems. As companies increasingly migrate to the cloud, they want more than just simple cost savings.
What was once the main reason for cloud migrations – moving away from heavy CAPEX investments in hardware and infrastructure, toward more predictable and flexible OPEX, is only the beginning.
To take full advantage of the cloud and benefit from all that it offers, organizations need to go beyond just “lift and shift” migrations.
In this presentation, we cover different cloud migration approaches and describe how organizations can migrate to the cloud in a way that not only minimizes costs but unlocks new capabilities.
- The desired business outcomes from cloud migration
- The technical drivers of cloud migration
- Cloud modernization essentials
- The application portfolio rationalization approach for cloud migrations
- Modernization use cases and case studies
- Establishing a cloud center of excellence
