SharePoint 2019 Is Launching Soon: Are You Ready?

As promised at Microsoft Ignite 2017, Microsoft is set to release their new version of SharePoint on-premise, which is SharePoint 2019 Server Preview in Summer 2018.

The announcement was made at SharePoint Conference 2018. There are some cool new features that will make SharePoint 2019 more user-friendly plus will benefit SharePoint administrators in their day-to-day tasks. These new features can also help drive the business processes more efficiently. Let’s take a look.

With instant access to the content you work on and reducing the amount of time spent in search, SharePoint 2019 facilitates you with Modern Sites and Pages experience. Now, this capability was present in SharePoint 2016; however, with SharePoint 2019 it works seamlessly across multiple devices (laptop, desktop, tablet, mobile, etc.) and platforms (Windows, Android, IOS, etc.).

Apart from the modern sites and pages, below are some key features that were announced during the SharePoint Conference 2018.

  • Improvement in Hybrid Support
  • Introduction of Communication Sites which are the part of SharePoint Online and now they will be a part of SharePoint on-premise
  • OneDrive Synchronization Client
  • Enhancement in PowerApps and Flow
  • SharePoint Home
  • Team News

Along with the above features, Microsoft SharePoint is entering the world of Virtual Reality with its new concept of mixed reality support to SharePoint with SharePoint Spaces.

SharePoint spaces is an immersive, mixed reality experience, which enables the users to view and analyze the content from every possible angle and visualize and amend the data and product models in Realtime.

Microsoft already has its Mixed Reality Headsets in the market which allows Virtual Reality Experience to the users.

It will be a big step to jump into the world of virtual reality with SharePoint which will enable the organizations to conduct their company introduction, learning and product development using this feature.
