Ensuring WebLogic IIOP is Enabled

Author: Christian Screen | 1 min read | August 25, 2011

Internet Inter-ORB Protocol can be used to programatically access the WebLogic Server.  It must be turned on though and here are the steps to enable it if it is not already enabled.

  1. In the Administration Console, expand Environments and select Servers.
  2. Select the Protocols tab, then select IIOP.
  3. Enable the IIOP protocol by checking the Enable IIOP check box.
  4. To modify the default configuration, click Advanced.
  5. If you want to specify a default IIOP user name and password:
    1. In the Default IIOP User field, enter a user name.
    2. In Default IIOP Password, enter a password.
  6. Modify default values for the other attributes.See Configuration Options.
  7. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
