Datavail Raises $47 Million, Attracts New Investors
Catalyst Investors, Tahosa Capital Partners Join Board
BROOMFIELD, COLO. – Dec. 17, 2015 – Datavail, North America’s largest pure play remote database management services firm, has raised $47 million in new capital to fund future growth initiatives, including expansion into markets adjacent to the burgeoning database services market.
Datavail, which has quadrupled in size over the last four years, and named to the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies list four years in a row, serves more than 300 clients and has more than 500 employees. Datavail provides outsourced DBA services for enterprise and mid-market clients that rely on 24×7 monitoring and response for mission-critical databases. Services cover major database platforms including Oracle, Oracle Applications, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, MongoDB and SharePoint.
“We are very excited about the path we have traveled to get where we are and even more excited about the future,” said Mark Perlstein, President and CEO of Datavail. “The market for data-related services that deliver high quality with respect for our clients’ budgetary objectives is growing dramatically and Datavail is best positioned to meet this exploding demand from customers.”
Perlstein noted that while the majority of Datavail’s growth has been organic, the company is already identifying potential mergers and acquisitions to complement its services, and contribute aggressively to future growth.

Tahosa Capital and Lumerity Capital Partners participated in the round, as did existing investors Boulder Ventures, Meritage Funds and MC Investment Fund (Montis). We are excited to help the company invest in its continued rapid growth.”
