Datavail Announces Maria Anderson as New Director of Strategic Partnerships

BROOMFIELD, Colorado – May 18th, 2016 – Datavail, the largest provider of remote database administration (DBA) services in North America, is pleased to announce Maria Anderson as the new Director of Strategic Partnerships. Maria’s focus will be to nurture partnerships between Datavail and their existing partners, as well as to explore new partnerships within the data ecosystem.

Prior to joining Datavail, Anderson worked in a variety of roles, including systems analyst, technical architect, database administrator, and instructor. Looking for a challenge, Maria transitioned to more formal leadership roles, leading various Infrastructure teams such as Database, Storage, and Middleware, and creating a PMO at a large Canadian natural gas producer. Maria has extensive experience with implementing “fit for purpose” IT managed services, and has worked as a consultant with IBM Global Services and CGI.

Anderson is also the President of the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG), the primary global association for Oracle database administrators, and has served on the IOUG board for six years. She is also completing her doctorate on exploring how IT organizations evolve, foster leadership and innovation, and thrive.
