The Art of Business Intelligence has launched the first in what will surely be a long series of podcasts. The goal of the ArtOfBI.com podcast is to complement the existing blog with news, conversation, interviews, and more real-world perspective surrounding the world of Business Intelligence. This has long been one of the hopes of ArtOfBI.com to leverage as much of the Internet’s powerful networking and communication abilities as possible. We’ve achieved this over the past years with the artofbi.com blog, extending the blog using video (videos), and now we our expanding our reach via podcast.
This initial podcast is mainly an dry-run at getting our podcasting environment established. In order to ensure that ArtOfBI.com get’s picked up by iTunes and the other popular podcast aggregators we had to kick off the series with at least one podcast recording. If this was a software release it would be version .099 instead of 1.0. The content is good but we’ve got a few technical bugs to work out with getting our audio levels, etc. worked out. We’ll keep the blog posted with updates as to each podcast release and provide more information as the podcast gets more established.
What to expect?
A lot of great Business Intelligence industry information, news, geek-speak, and laid-back conversations and interviews with some of the Business Intelligence gurus that are helping guide the growing sector of BI, DW, and EPM. We grew tired of not having audio regarding the BI industry to take along in our iPods/iPads/iPhones, so we figured that we would create our own. Not a bad idea, right? Ultimately, you can expect that we’ll keep you up-to-date on the latest BI happenings and provide those keen tid-bits that we all like having tossed our way now and again.
Got Something to Talk About Related to Business Intelligence?
We are currently building our schedule for interviewing authors, bloggers, product developers, and CxOs. If you happen to be doing something new or ground-breaking with Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or EPM we would like to interview you or someone from your team about what you’ve achieved. You can email me directly at christian [at] artofbi [dot] com and we’ll get something on the books.

Most people will encounter this error when their application tries to connect to an Oracle database service, but it can also be raised by one database instance trying to connect to another database service via a database link.
Imagine over 100 logins on the source server, you need to migrate them to the destination server. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could automate the process?
