Senior SQL Server Database Administrator

datAvail is looking for a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator in Broomfield, Colorado in the Interlocken business park. Our company provides 24 X 7 support for our customer's mission critical database systems, which is possible through our proven model of Tier 3 DBAs in the U.S. and our Tier 2 team in Mumbai, India. We are looking for professional administrators with very strong internals knowledge, who have experience running databases in production environments and database consulting experience.

Mandatory SQL Server DBA Skills:

Oracle Applications DBA

This position requires a highly technical, hands-on Applications/Core DBA to lead the efforts around performance tuning, capacity planning, disaster recovery and daily operational procedures. This position is responsible for the design, implementation and day-to-day operations of production application infrastructure including but not limited to Oracle EBS, Oracle RDBMS , OAS and other middleware technologies. This position will also be charged with maintaining a highly effective operational environment, direct involvement and management of security, user support and standardization of services and systems will be necessary.

Major Responsibilities include (other duties may be assigned):

1)      Drive Best practices and standards in the area of application technical architecture.
2)      Ensure production requirements and goals are met.
3)      Ensures development and definition of process and standards related to the Oracle EBS environment.
4)      Develop proper documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) systems.
5)      Track and document all outages and incidents which adversely affect the stability of the Oracle EBS application computing environment.
6)      Responsible for identifying and solving complex problems proactively and lead effective solutions implementation
7)      Developing and executing against capacity management plans;
8)      Developing and managing performance management plans to include leading a matrix managed performance team
9)      developing and documenting repeatable operational procedures;
10) developing and implementing automated cloning procedures
11) Planning and executing routine maintenance windows while minimizing risk and application downtime.
12) develop and manage automated load testing routines and procedures
13) Perform system maintenance and cloning activities;

Required Skills/Competencies to perform the job successfully:
